Zinc sulfate monohydrate is an inorganic substance with the chemical formula ZnSO₄-H₂O. Appearance is a white fluid powder, density 3.28g/cm3. Density 3.28g/cm3, soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, very easy to deliquesce in air, insoluble in acetone. Produced by the reaction of zinc oxide or zinc hydroxide and sulfuric acid. Used as raw material for the production of other zinc salts; used in cable galvanization and electrolysis to produce pure zinc, fruit tree nursery disease spraying agent, man-made fibers, wood and leather preservation agent.

Uses

Zinc sulfate monohydrate has been widely used in feed additives, chemical industry, national defense, fertilizers, mineral processing, pharmaceuticals, rubber, electronics, printing and dyeing agents, bone glue clarifiers and protectants, electroplating, prevention of fruit tree diseases and pests and circulating cooling water treatment, viscose fibers and nylon fibers. It is the raw material for manufacturing zinc salt and zinc barium white. It is used in the electrolysis industry for cable galvanization and electrolysis of pure zinc. Also used in wood and leather preservatives and man-made fiber industry. Food grade is used as a nutritional supplement (zinc fortifier).
